How can a guy that did Eddie Murphy Raw earn a living in this politically correct world?I am amazed how arguably the funniest man alive at one point went on to become so incredibly unfunny. It's remarkable, lots of comedians have faded and become less relevant, or whos humour didn't stand the test of time, but I can't recall someone who was so genuinely hilarious who so quickly just lost it completely.

Nah blaming pc is a cop out, stand up is still allowed to be un pc, dave chappelle made his comeback and he did a full 20 minutes on bill Cosby and another 20 on oj Simpson that couldn't remotely be considered pc. Watched the trailer last night and it looked so bad that I just didn't bother watching it. There was literally nothing in the trailer that made it look like something I would want to watch. Judging by the comments on here I made the right choice.

Just watched it with the wife and good fun for those of us that grew up with the first one, not sure what those who didn't will make of it. Can deffo see it being made into a musical for the stage from the way it's put together.

Yes. Billy Maddison, Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy and Little Nicky are all good films.
Arguably has more range as a serious actor than Eddie Murphy- Punch Drunk Love, Reign Over Me and Uncut Gems are good performances.
Both aren't (as) funny anymore for the same reason, they aren't doing it for passion as well as the dollar anymore.
The Witch Doctor character was initially going to be played by Dave Chappelle, although for whatever reason it didn't work out. But instead of EM taking it on he let Arsenio Hall do it because of the 6 hours in make up. Who wants to see Arsenio Hall play these sort of characters?
It could have been a much better character with EM going full out OTT on it.
