Community being used as a synonym for charity due to legal reasons, but the basics of it are the same.
It still doesn’t look good boycotting a “community” game because some of us feel snubbed that fifty years of tradition are being respected in spite of us having to stay on a train or coach a bit longer, or later in the day.
People were talking about playing at another venue, that’s why I focused on that. Whether the issue is the venue or the kickoff time, it all seems a bit prams.
When would you have kickoff? Make it too early and “people can’t get down”, make it too late and “people can’t get back”.
It’s not the most difficult fixture to attend, if we can do Copenhagen at 9pm local time, we can do London at 5:30pm. Back on the road by 8pm at the very latest, or stay the night in a Premier Inn. That’s the life of away games.
Or if that’s still too much, stick BBC One on. All the family can gather round the telly box with pie and mash on the table and plenty of brews.
