Because there’s no reason for it. It would be pandering to us for (why?), and then it’d be the Arse kicking off.

Wembley is the home of the FA, not the Swamp, not the Etihad, not Villa Park, not the Emirates either.
It is not clear why you are backing the FA on this or determined to go head to head against fellow Blues.
Debate is healthy though so here goes.

Lets be clear. The FA is London centric. The BBC was London centric. Many organisations and bodies are. The BBC, for example, recognised this as have branches of the Civil Service, and have changed their business and working strategies to recognise that a world exists outside of the M25.

The FA is no different. It has even, with success, played England matches across the country though this was largely forced by the re-building of Wembley.

The Charity Shield was traditionally hosted by the league winners.

Arsenal has not even "qualified" for this season`s Community Shield just as Liverpool dd not a few years ago. City can not play themselves. The opponents are there by invitation not because they have won anything this season.

So, yes, Manchester City, the double winners, the treble winners, should have a major say in this community / charity match.

My post about the Manchester City Invitational Community Shield appears to have been`lost` on you given your response of ????. Others got it straight away !

Whilst playing the FA Community Shield out of town at the swamp would not normally be my first thought, the simple fact is that England did play there on Monday night and that was fine for the FA. It could be hosted at Old Trafford. The crowd would be as high as what it will be at Wembley and good causes would still benefit. There would also be something very sweet about the Treble winners performing there before the season kicks off properly.

Arsenal should fit in with the FA Cup winners and Premier League winners. Once again the FA has failed to read the room and given very little thought to the fans from Manchester. Until their self interest is challenged this will continue to happen.

Something Better Change...

And the shield was traditionally held at the home of the champions not the home of the FA.
