Community Shield | Post-Match Thread

Much better highlights than were offered by NBC or ITV, unsurprisingly.

After watching it yesterday in my blue-tinted glasses and gloating I LOVE BEATING THE SCUM, Today the highlights showed me again what a left back would do for this team, I thought Josko Gvardiol was poor and all of the united chances were down the left, Even for their goal Gvardiol was left miles up the field and could not get back.

Pep does not seem to want or like to play with a left back for some reason, Since Mendy's signing and failure we have dodged and covered the role,

There is a plus.. Look what we have won and gone on to achieve, But we could be so complete and balanced even go unbeaten if we had a player like Walker at left-back

This 'I never read a book until he was 17' what do they teach them in the rags academy ? It was never picked at the time by the press/media just how poor the education standards are in rags academy.
Now come on those Spot the dog books can be pretty tricky

Now we are cursed. Dinner plate winners normally don’t win the league.
Yep. 9 out of the last 10 didn't win the league. I think Arsenal have won it a few times (?5). We're the only one to have won it then won the league.

How about the arse...the taming of the shrew?
You need Dickens' Great Expectations....

It's a pity that a large chunk of the comments involve all sorts of accusations against the ITV commentary team and limited insight into what was good and bad about the teams performance. Surely informed opinion is what constitutes a good post match thread. I am reaching the conclusion that a lot of people alas have little of substance or import to say. To me it seems a lot of our fanbase set out just waiting to be offended and have more interest in what the commentators say than analysing what is actually happening on the pitch.
It's called Bluemoan for a reason
