The FA has confirmed both the kick-off time and ticket prices for this year's FA Community Shield sponsored by McDonald’s fixture at Villa Park on Sunday 12 August 2012.

The traditional curtain-raiser for the new football season, which this year will be contested by FA Cup winners Chelsea and Premier League champions Manchester City, will kick off at 1.30pm with ticket prices of £45, £35, £25 and £20.

Ticket allocations to the clubs and on-sale ticket details to be announced in due course.

Charity Shield

Blues, looking to take two mates who can't go regularly and don't have season cards. If anyone who can't go and has plenty of points can sort out a pair of tickets it'd be greatly appreciated.

£20 is not bad going. Even the back row in any of the stands is still a good view at Villa.

I was planning to take my mrs and 4 month old son for his debut I'll be fine for a ticket but my mrs wont be . So if anyone is not going and would allow me to use their number to book a ticket I'd be very grateful please pm if you can help thanks in advance

Brave or stupid depends on how you view it .. The brainy bit however is trying to ensure that my girlfriend gets a ticket that way we can share duties ;)
