I think Mancini and the players very much proved they have no desire for it last seasonThe cookie monster said:You really think this?de niro said:Glorified training exercise. No one is arsed. Just a day out.

Chelsea seem to be quite active in the transfer market, does anybody think that they could beat us ?
'Tis a game of footy. Owt can happen. I was watching a match last season where a team only had to beat relegation fodder at home, bedecked with untold riches, stuffed with quality, opponents down to ten, and . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . !
Doesn't everyone? One year (early 70's) the FA Cup winners (Leeds) and the league champions (Derby) declined the chance to play for the Charity Shield. Instead fourth placed (at a time when fourth was a failure) City and the THIRD DIVISION CHAMPIONS (Villa) played for the shield. The cookie monster said:You really think this?de niro said:Glorified training exercise. It means nothing. The game is just an exhibition match. I will never be overjoyed to win it nor gutted to lose it.
For our end of season DVD the tounament in Ireland and even the matches in North America got a mention - of course, along with the League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League and the Premier League - yet the Community Shield wasn't mentioned, at all.
