Complaint to BBC regarding Pete the Badge

Pete's welfare comes first & it should be taken down, they've overstepped the mark. No point scoring just remove & if you have any decency make an apology then understand how it happened & ensure it doesn't happen again.

Then a point should be made about how tiresome & unprofessional they have become.

What do you expect from an organisation that employs Phil Neville.

They so much up Stretford's arse it is untrue. Our PR dept needs to be making a complaint

Getting back to Peter, I started bringing my son to games when he was 8 and he used to go into the EA pod to play on the games. Peter would speak to him and ask him how to play. He'd speak to him with stories about City. My son now nearly 16 has become quite fond of him through our Etihad visits, about 6 a season. According to my son he told him he has Aspergers, and travels to games from down south, thought it was London but could well be Milton Keynes as others have said, sure he said he'd lived in Blackpool. Whatever he's a great bloke, fan and deserves respect, not to have the piss taken in a cyber bullying bbc, or anbody else, post.

They could make amends by actually interviewing the bloke and doing a proper article on him, how about getting him on football focus, or a spot on MOTD?? Redress the balance.

And now they are ridiculing our new signing Mr Jesus!!

From the BBC Sport website:

"The Sun have written up a story about new Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus.

According to them, the player opted to take a 600-yard cab ride through rainy Manchester rather than walk back to his hotel after he got his hair cut."

There is a link to the Skunk website but no way Jose would I even copy it to here or access it!!!

That made F365 over an hour ago, so it's presumably just reached the feeds. F365 aren't polite about the 'story'.

Martin Samuel at the Mail appears to be one journalist who has some sympathy for us perhaps he may be interested in the story? At a time when clubs and the media are moaning about the lack of atmosphere and how to improve it, they choose to mock one of the great characters out there. Shame on them, not that they know the meaning of the word!

I think forwarding it to someone like Samuel would be counter-productive. He doesn't do social media or web stuff, and it's frankly small beer. I suspect he'd agree it's crap, but not his issue.

This is genuinely awful and it infuriates me to see such a feed, the ridiculong of him with the Bertie comment and by the nature of the piece an invitation for others to do so as well.

Forget the silliness of some of the complaints, which would dilute this very valid point, this piece should be challenged.

I am not very creative or imaginative but if domeone can think of a way of highlighting this and shaming the Bbc I would be happy to financially contribute

True. However tax evasion is illegal, and ABSOLUTELY people should get shit over it. What on earth are you suggesting???
I'm suggesting tax avoidance (which you mentioned in the first place) is fine and not illegal.

You've only just brought evasion into it now.

It's true in principle. I didn't realise you had to post pages of small print and disclaimers, which would divert from the point of the post:

If you want to watch TV in the UK, you need to pay for a TV license. You know that very well.
That's not true either.

I know for a fact that Gary Neville got a black cab from the rank on St Mary's Gate (by Paperchase) to The Moon Under Water, which is a distance of 500 feet, a few years ago. He then got the same cab to take him from there to Number 1 Deansgate, which is the same distance.
were you driving?

Anyone know Pete well enough to get him to make a complaint to the Bitter Because of City (BBC) organisation?

A few years ago I used to read the daily telegraph when Ogden was the northern correspondent and every City related article was inundated with rag troll comments referring to us as Bertie's etc but in response if the word rag was used the comment was moderated and usually deleted.
The fcukin media is riddled with rags.

Are you eligible for a free TV licence?

If you or anyone in your house is aged over 75, you're entitled to a free TV licence. Find out how to claim your free licence and get a refund if you've overpaid.

If you have been paying for your TV licence but are entitled to a free one, you will be refunded the money you overpaid

If you are aged over 75, you are eligible to get a free TV licence.

Equally, if you are aged 74 and your licence is due for renewal, you can get a short-term licence. This will be valid until the end of the month before your 75th birthday.

Once you reach 75, you can apply for your free licence. You will then be sent this licence every three years by TV Licensing.

What other benefits will I be entitled to when I retire?

Make sure you claim
If you fit the criteria for a free TV licence, it is important to claim for this.

You can apply for a free or short-term TV licence here. You can also apply by phone on (0300) 790 6071.

As part of the process, you will need to provide TV Licensing with your date of birth, name, address, postcode, and National Insurance number.

You will also have to submit the current TV licence number for your household.

If you are already over 75, you will need to apply for your free licence, as your licence will not automatically change to a free one.

Cancelling and refunding payments
If you are over 75 and pay for your licence by direct debit, TV Licensing will cancel this when they process your application.

The organisation will also refund any money overpaid – backdating the refund to the first month of your 75th birthday.

I'm not retired yet, what benefits could I claim?

Free licences available to households where any member is over 75
Even if you are not aged 75 yourself, you will still be eligible for a free TV licence if anyone in your household is over the age threshold.

This might apply if, for example, you live with parents, or have an older spouse or partner.

Once the licence has been applied for and received, it will cover everyone living at that address.

Common blue badge myths dispelled

Talk to eligible relatives
If you have parents or other relatives who are over 75, you should speak to them to check that they have applied for their free licence, as they may not be aware that they are eligible to do so.

Other properties
It’s important to note that a free over 75 TV licence only covers the licence-holder’s main home address. If they have any other properties, they will need to buy separate licences.

What are the different ways to view TV?

Discounted TV licences
While pensioners aged over 75 do not have to pay a penny for the TV licence, there are discounts available to those who are blind or in residential care.

Licences for people in care
If you are in residential care, you can get a special licence for £7.50.

To qualify, you must be either retired and over 60 or disabled.

Your housing manager can apply for you.

Licences for individuals who are blind
If you are registered blind, you can get a 50% discount. The same reduction applies if you live with someone who is blind.

The licence has to be in the name of the blind person. If it isn’t, you can transfer it by calling TV Licensing.

To apply for this discount, visit tvlicensing.co.uk/blind or write to TV Licensing with your name, address, phone number and existing TV licence (if you have one), along with a copy of your blind registration certificate or a certificate from your ophthalmologist with your licence number.

You also need to provide a cheque or postal order for the 50% fee. This will cost £72.50 for a colour licence. The address is: TV Licensing, Blind Concession Group, Bristol BS98 1TL.
