I'm still at it!
As I was at a loose end tonight I have just sent an e-mail to the FA - copies to go the the press tomorrow. I have set it out Janet and John style for them, as many of the staff would appear to be somewhat deficient in the 'O' level department, if you know what I mean
'I refer to our telephone conversation of 11 November concerning the above matter. As promised, albeit a little late. I can now let you have copies of my correspondence with Cathy Long at the Premier League.
As sending e-mail requests via your website wrecks the formatting of Windows Hotmail I have had to reformat this correspondence to make it more readable for you. In doing so, I have ordered the correspondence by the date sent and received, to make it easier to read, in the manner of a story. I have forwarded a separate message so you know that I have not altered the content of the original e-mails.
Therefore the first message is my initial e-mail to the Premier League on 2 September, and the final message is (Name deleted) message to me of 11 November. Messages 1 to 17 are between myself and the Premier League whereas Messages 18 to 21 are between the FA and myself. I trust this makes sense to you!
My opening e-mail to you at Message 18 sets out the nature of my complaint and the action I asked you to take in response. Message 20 showed my disbelief that the person at the FA who replied to me did not seem to have read message 18 properly, as the writer appeared to have completely missed the points raised in that message.
(Name deleted) response at Message 21 fared no better; hence my telephone call to you.
In short, once again,
. you insist all leagues under your jurisdiction (including the Premier League) have a rule to combat illegal approaches.
. and the Premier League’s rule K3 is supposed to cover the issue of illegal approaches.
. however, unbeknown to you, the Premier League clubs have told the Premier League in the absence of a complaint Rule K3 is not a Rule that the collective body of Clubs wish to apply – this is evidenced by Cathy Long’s note to me, shown at message 16, in response to my direct questioning at Message 15.
. the Premier League has not told the FA of this working amendment to rule K3 – this is evidenced evidenced by Cathy Long’s note to me, shown at message 11. They indicate this is because they are not obliged to discuss with every detail of the implementation of each Rule, simply any Rule alterations as and when they are applied – my e-mail to you at Message 20 sets out precisely why this does not, in my opinion bear scrutiny – it is an amendment in all but name.
(Name deleted) final response at Message 21 in which she refers me back to the Premier League is patent nonsense. I have brought the matter to the attention of the Premier League and have exhausted their complaints process. That is why I have come to you, and it is ridiculous to try and send me back to the Premier League!
The main thrust of my complaint is now the so-called secret rule change in respect of Premier League Rule K3. If that is upheld it follows there should be an investigation into the allegations surrounding the Berbatov transfer.
Therefore, I would like somebody in your organisation with both a command of and understanding of basic English to look at my messages 18 and 20 once more and provide me with a substantive response, if that is not too much trouble.
Finally, as this message is being copied to the national press I have removed my name from the messages shown below – but as said, the originals will be forwarded to you separately.
Regards,'
I have then listed all the correspondence between myself and the authorities, which I will not repeat here for obvious reasons.
