Congrats Lionesses

Ireland in England’s group won 3 1 today and all three goals were own goals.
And shockingly bad own goals. The goalkeeping errors reminded me of that useless Taieb that Gareth Taylor insisted on playing last season.
I’m currently watching Faroe Islands :0 Scotland :4 nearing HT. Good goals so far. It’s live on the BBC iPlayer on BBC Alba if anyone is interested.
Claire Emslie is still an excellent player - was a shame when she left City.

This Luxembourg team is just another eleven women who are making up the numbers. They are extremely poor.

I think the ball has not been in our half with a Luxembourger being in control of it!
7-0 after 54 mins, 84% possession, 26 shots to 0, 15 Corners to 0, can only beat whats put in front of you but you get some huge scores in Womens Internationals

Another shocking FIFA mismatch. Allows Beth England and Nikita Parris to score - they usually can against pub teams.
Parris has already become the classic Ragette - moaning, whingeing, fouling, diving. Hard to believe that she was quite good many years ago. That miss by her in the 86th minute reminded me of someone…..

Some of the scores tonight in Womens World Cup Qualifying…..
Switzerland : 15 Moldova : 0
Austria : 10 North Macedonia: 0
Bulgaria : 0 Germany : 8
plus 7:0 and 6:0
This needs to be addressed.

Luxembourg were way out of their depth - I will say though, credit to them, they didn't give up.

It's not awful in itself that there are games like this in women's football - there are some similar ones in the men's too. However, the shocking part is that Luxembourg weren't even the worst team in the group - they finished 4th out of the 6, ahead of North Macedonia and Latvia, finishing with 3 wins!

That really shows just how many weak countries there are.

The first victim of the diversity push.
Quotes from Mead on the subject:

The Arsenal forward, 27, added: "My values and beliefs are completely different to what was written. It's not a true reflection of me as a person.

"In terms of diversity and everything in the game, I want to be there front and centre, helping with that. I know the FA are doing a lot for that. I said that in the interview and that didn't get put through.

"Unfortunately it made me look worse in that context but these things happen in the media these days. That's not a true reflection of me and I hope people understand that and sometimes don't believe everything you read."
