No doubt the black forge( his pub in Drimagh) will be packed tonight .
This won't make a blind bit of difference to him. He'll still hang out with criminals and his property port folio wont take a hit

Could that be revisited, or does this verdict stop McGregor having a fair criminal trial?

It doesn't stop it in Ireland, but as you set out there's a different burden of proof to convict and unless anything new came to light in the civil case it is unlikely they'll then take up criminal proceedings having dismissed them before.
