Just noticed the thread title. Imagine that not being the worst thing you've done.
Civil case, so no chance of imprisonment.
It’s similar to the City hearing now. There are differing levels of certainty attached to civil and criminal cases.I get it wasn't a criminal case, but if someone is found guilty of rape in any court of law criminal proceedings should then be pursued.
It's like myself receiving a £1 fine. Sickening.
I'm not sure to be honest. I know that if it went straight to civil but not sure if the door is open as it was attempted in criminal firstCould that be revisited, or does this verdict stop McGregor having a fair criminal trial?
I'm sure that's just a coincidence.
My colleagues were jury minders on the case. It’s similar to the City hearing now. There are differing levels of certainty attached to civil and criminal cases.
Civil cases - in balance of probability.
Criminal cases - beyond reasonable doubt.
It was a civil case. The DPP wouldn’t take a criminal case against him due to to insufficient evidence.Found guily of rape and he has to pay a fine? The scumbag should be behind bars.
