A: I'd have no problem with it if this country was truly in danger like WWII. I sure as hell wouldn't do it though to fight in some foreign land in some daft war the yanks probably started and has nothing to do with us like Vietnam (they had the draft/conscription).

If there was conscription then I would imagine that our borders are under threat so A for me. I think I'd enjoy Sandhurst anyway and it would be fun to boss a lot of our forum peasants around.

If you tried that shit on with this lot you would get shot in the back of the head and your corpse would be dry bum.

If it was a situation like The 2 World Wars then yes i'd join up, if it was like Vietnam then no.

If it's in defence of the country yes but not if it's a political war or a war which is nothing to do with us in the grand scheme of things like Iraq and Afghan. Let the yanks clean up there own messes.


Mind you i work on an oil refinery so i'd guess i'd be classed as an 'essential worker' so i wouldnt be consripted anyway,

Let's face it folks, if there ever were a war threatening our borders there would be no need whatsoever for infantry. If you're conscripted in modern warfare it would be for shooting dogs and looters.
