Don’t know how I’d feel if it was conscripted all of our grandchildren would be eligible, the eldest is 18yr just gone to University the next is 16yr at college A levels he would likely volunteer he’s always been interested in family military history

5th largest military in the world, they haven't lost a naval war against Ukraine, they suffered a few defeats without taking much of their Naval vessel in the region.

They can't gain air superiority due to the risk of missiles landing in NATO countries and causing it to grow bigger as a conflict.

It's all there to read online etc, not just Western propaganda against the Russians.

If they were so poor as a military force, why has nobody taken a chance to wipe them out?

So, as of Feb 2023, they had around 300,000 + military personnel actively involved in the Ukraine conflict.

Russia's military is over 4 million in size including its Army reserves etc, and as reported in early Dec 2023, they just increased their overall number by 170,000 EXTRA personnel. This doesn't mean they are all going to serve in Ukraine btw!

Yes there are big reports that between 300,000 to 400,000 Russian troops have been either Killed, Captured or wounded since this conflict began.

What's being corrupt got to do with anything? The money they say is to be spent on the military is siphoned off into government officials bank accounts, that's why they are having to get water from puddles or wear Airsoft helmets lmao.

The excuse for air superiority is laughable it has fuck all to do with risking NATO escalation and everything to do with their planes being too easy to shoot down. They have no problem dropping cruise missiles near the border so that excuse doesn't cut it.

The inflated numbers of people serving doesn't mean shit they are forcing prisoners and homeless to fight on the front lines after losing their best units in the first year.

No big military is letting a private merc company march on Moscow if it's as strong as you make out.

So they have people serving in the military from all backgrounds.

Fact is, information I just posted is true. If you wish to believe the mighty Russia are nothing but a few troops wiht old muskets or bow and arrows then good luck!

I believe they don't have the capability to face NATO or fully annex Ukraine, and they have set their people back decades by over estimating their power. Same old russians.
 
My guess is that any able bodied men between the ages of 17 and 45 could be called up, if they did this the first thing the guys should do is declare that they now identify as Women and no court would dare over rule them?

Seriously though how the hell would they enforce this? who would round the people up and get them where they need to go? The Police and Army have been stripped to the bone, the Government couldnt enforce Covid rules let alone conscription.

If they did try, then the starting point should be by sending anyone convicted of a violent crime or sex abuse.
