Like Hughes was responsible for how we performed on the pitch, Cook is responsible for news management and the promotion of our club
through the media.
He failed by not recognising the big news story after Hughes sacking and thinking he would get away with it by having Mancini beside him.
He should have protected Mancini at this early stage and held a seperate conf in the morning to address the mis management of the
Hughes dismissal.
He would have then allowed Mancini to have a more constructive conf.
A man of his experience should have recognised this and dealt with it.
Now, like Hughes, he is accused of under performing in HIS role.
