Cook, Marwood - Tevez : who's fault ?

When your star player and captain hands a transfer request in, unless it's about cash, then there's not really any other way to read it.

And it hasn't happened in isolation, has it?

Well, I do think this is about cash and not anything to do with any other incidents that may have happened, so I don't read it at all in the same way as you seem to be doing.

PMSL - It is further proof that Hughes bought some right cunts. That is all. This story must have made your weekend.

-- Mon Dec 13, 2010 11:22 am --

I fully agree. It can ONLY be about cash for two reasons:

i) Why try and extend and improve a contract 5 weeks ago if it is about anything else?

ii) A transfer to Spain would include a wage upgrade, signing on fee and more importantly and has been alluded to in the thread, the likely scenario of a huge bonus to Kia as Real need a new striker.

What does Dave suggest it to be? Tevez's own statement says it is not about Mancini.

Why? They may well not be, but this 'incident' says nothing about that one way or the other.

No

Tevez has a history of this type of thing

Stick it up your fucking arse you piece of shit and don't ever question my love for City again. It ruined my fucking weekend.

Amusing to see you adopt the "I never liked him anyway" revisionist stance though. I call it the "Bellamy".

I'm just thankful Tevez didn't lay any blame with Mancini because we'd have never heard the end of it

Reading Tevez's 'statement' surely its obvious he didn't write it without help. I can't see him sitting down and writing that, it's much to articulate for your average player, even if it was translated from spanish.

As for 'certain executives... but not Mancini or the Sheihk' who the fuck else does he talk to...

. Despite attempts by his representatives to urge him to reconsider his desire to leave City, it is understood that Tévez is keen to move to Spain in an effort to persuade his former partner to relocate to a Spanish-speaking country with the pair’s children.

So where could this mystery move be? If they are to leave Argentina then presumably it wont be to Bolivia, Paraguay or Mexico. El Salvador or Nicaragua perhaps. Phillipinos still speak Spanish in some parts I am told. Equatorial Guinea was also once Spanish, maybe an opportunity there?

Or does this daft journo mean 'persuade her to relocate to Spain'?
Marmite is salty!

Although I doubt Cook was responsible I also have my doubts that Cook has no dealings with Tevez. Cooks last job was managing Michael Jordan for Nike and since day one it has looked like Cook was desperate to sign a big name for City. At the moment Tevez is the biggest name we have and I am sure Cook is all over him looking for ways to milk Tevez.

Cook however is an embarrasment to the club in my eyes. I see people claim he has increased our revenues but almost all the extra money City made last year was from increased sponsorship. Cook may have had some involvement but I am sure he was not the lead in negotiations with Etihad. I am also sure he has lost us as much as he increased revenues as he was probably resposible for signing Robinho. I realise he has experience in this field but with the high profile City have increasing sponsorship is not hard. Maybe he has excelled but he is still an egotistical big mouthed twat with no interest in football.

The latest statement from the club about Tevez also has Cooks bootprints all over it. If Tevez was not determined to leave before, Cook has certainly made sure of it with that statement. I am not saying I care if Tevez does stay any more but why reject his transfer request and then suggest he is too much of a child to make up his own mind about salary negotiations, contracts or whatever.

Personally I do not think Tevez cares about more money but the idea of living in Spain is probably the main reason. As for people on here blaming him for sleeping around I would suggest you get out more. If I was earning £10 million a year I suspect I might end up shagging around a bit. It is what many men do and especially those with a lot of money who can easily pull good looking birds.

It's just running true to form.Tevez hasn't spent more than two seasons at any of his clubs, and has been sabre-rattling for a while. He wants a move, and Kia wants his bonus.
From what I saw on Saturday, the vast majority of players at City seem pretty happy to be there.

Tevez and his advisor are at fault here.City have bent over backwards to accomodate him and he's decided he wants to go.It doesn't reflect on City,it reflects on Carlos Tevez and his advisor. He wants it all.Short of transplanting the weather and sorting out his personal life, the club can do no more.

We're joint top of the league,so the evidence would seem that things are pretty good overall?
