Everything.

The guy was widely perceived as a raving lunatic among his literary contemporaries, due largely to his lowly, rural social status. There's no doubt that the guy had problems upstairs, but he was a complete visionary. Ignore his repeated fall-back on basic couplets, his crude form and phrasing. Electricity flowed from eyes to hand with Clare. He was a shepherd zapped in the head by lightning. Completely nuts, but with EYES.
