My Mrs. has business customers over from Prague and they asked how they could find a few things in Manchester City centre.

The first was Loake shoes - easy, Edwards or Kendals.

English Tea room experience - easy, Richmond Tearooms.

Manchester made Corduroy hats/caps - no idea!

Apparently friends have asked them to take back genuine Manchester Corduroy hats/caps. They went on to explain that over in their neck of the woods Corduroy is called Manchester. Well I never! They wear Manchester trousers/hats/shirts etc. It seems Manchester invented it so that's what it's called.

No doubt all you True Mancunians knew this but as a Greater Mancunian it was news to me.

So my question is, where can they find genuine Manchester (Corduroy) hats/caps in the City centre?

May not be Manchester, but who's to know (unless the ''Manchester'' refers to a style of cap, rather than the corduroy)?
