In all fairness, pro or anti monarchy, no one can watch the videos of the police denying peacefull protest and think that is a good thing for our society as a whole

I get your sentiment of just get on with your day, I'm about to have a go at my 4th attempt to kill some bloody weeds so I can lay a lawn. But what I think you are not factoring in is that those people protesting probably don't see the monarchy as a neutral thing that can be ignored or swerved but as something that holds the country back or represents something they profoundly disagree with about how the country is governed in the broadest sense. Sure for a few it'll be the politics of envy or somesuch but for many it'll be a more considered heartfelt view that is politically or even morally important to them.
