Figures coming down well
Vaccine rollout superb thus far
But do the government still need to publish daily figures?
Surely we don't need these now?
 
Had my second AZ jab at lunchtime; bit of a queue this time but still well organised. Now waiting to see if there any side effects this time round. They did ask if I had suffered any after the first jab.
 
I've had the sinopharm vaccine done as I'm in the UAE.

I've heard we're not recognising this vaccine in the UK?

Is this true?

They've not applied for authorisation in UK or EU.

Until they do, it won't be evaluated.

No idea if they have any plans to apply.
 
Talked at length today with a consultant from Wythenshawe hospital (and other areas) who was press ganged into ITU since last April. Just picked it up as he went along.

Talked about the initial treatments, nobody had any fucking clue what people were suffering from, or what to do with them. Infection control was haphazard at best and PPE wasn't really a thing. In a similar way to the airports, by the time they had a bit of a grasp, the horse had bolted - the cases were piling up, deaths and so on. Said the winter gone was a conveyor belt. Decisions were made on a threshold pre-existing conditions to not ventilate.
 
Not posted this data in a while, indeed I haven't even looked, but anyway...

Only 8 of the 231 infections in Scotland today are in people aged over 65

Perhaps even more interesting, only 50 of the 231 are even aged over 45.

As I say, I haven't looked in a while so I don't know if this is now the norm or today might just be particularly low in that regard, but it caught my eye anyway as we are vaccinating more people around that age group.

no got Covid mate. I feel miles better tonight so hoping over the worst. Got an oxygen reader on my thumb as we speak just checking! Just out of interest I was on to 111 yesterday and a paramedic said to me this is so far from over as the vaccine won’t necessarily stop you getting it just stop you getting hospitalised. He said he would be amazed if we see football grounds full for a long time! Also NHS Trafford test and trace called me and they said lots more cases coming back last few days. Seems to contradict what Heald place has been saying so may be wrong.

Ok, thats a bit of a surprise, not that it really should be i suppose. Im gutted about the football ground attendence but it is what it is. Ive just come back from having a chilly but socially distanced couple of pints with a mate at our local which was great. Just hope we eventually get on top of this horrendous covid crap. And obviously wishing you a speedy recovery and all the best pal.

Yeah, hoping after 3 months at worse I’d be over it but nope...
It’s weird. It’s a sensation/feeling in my lungs (almost like being winded).
Not quite sure what to do next tbf.
Someone on a running forum suggested a breathing apparatus, but to use it very, very carefully. I think might try the docs as much as the poster seemed to know what they were talking about.
Will ping the Vit deets mate...

Glad you’re on the mend but fuck you were lucky getting the jab earlier.

What was your oxygen rate btw?

Have you had both vaccine jabs ?
 
We will continue to have problems with this if they don't ban flights, red list countries do not work, I have seen evidence of this first hand, people just transfer at none red list countries and back into our country, the amount of baggage we take off German flights has gone up a lot,

Stop inbound passengers, stop corona, so simple, we should of done this right away

Seen summat saying flights were going from Mumbai to Frankfurt then England.

They are mate, not just mumbai, they get off in frankfurt and then onto Manchester, Germans obviously don't give a fuck because they aren't staying in Germany, the airlines don't give a fuck because they are selling seats

Airlines are milking it mate,there is a video on BBC,a guy who flew in from India said that the airline offered him a seat at normal cost,but he would miss the deadline and would have isolate on arrival in England.
Or he could pay 3 times the normal cost and be here before the deadline.
