You said you wouldn't be taking it when it was offered to you first time. You wanted to see how things panned out. We discussed this at length last autumn.
You clearly have picked up someone elses view. I said I had to be certain it would not harm me or members of my family before we decide to take it, and rightly so considering the circumstances. Nothing to do on how it affected others

No, and more importantly my daughter working on a cancer ward, says no too. Her hospital came very close to being overwhelmed, she was ringing us up in tears some nights, the lockdown saved it. It’s just getting to manageable levels. Start of March is soon enough to begin some lifting.
Isn't that what the nightingale hospitals were built for ? The ones that didn't end up with a single patient in them.

I am not saying they don't mate.
But I object to the tone of them and ordering people what to do every day, we didn't elect them. They have taken over too much.
They dont govern (order what we do), they advise. The decisions on how we are to behave still come from government who can either heed or ignore the scientific advice and I know which I prefer

No that is what you said, you wouldn't be taking it first time.

Anyone else agree it's a fucking disgrace that we are still in lockdown ?

Let's ruin peoples businesses, stop people getting cancer treatment, watch people suicide rates keep rising all in the name of a virus with a 99.5% survival rate.

Disgusting.
The worst part for me is all the people that are dead, but hey i guess we all see things differently.

just a personal feeling and comment - when the spring gets warmer and the cases are crashing, plus the vaccinations and antibodies dominating the population, the restrictions will begin to be lifted in stages (probably from March to be honest). At some point over the summer we'll be allowed out for meals and into each other's houses.

As much as there are arguments for further restrictions in the autumn, in some form, i wouldnt be surprised if the general appetite and adherence to them absolutely crashes and burns. I'm just not sure people are willing to put up with it again. For better or worse.

Yes lost my dad already through drink. I don't blame people what else can they do?
I sympathise with people who have an addiction of any kind, whether it be drinking, eating, smoking, gambling or whatever. However, I don't agree with the "what else can they do?" line. They could:-

- go for a walk
- do some gardening
- read a book
- play a computer game
- play a board game
- watch TV
- surf the internet
- do some baking
- learn a new skill

and that's just off the top of my head.
