GM Weekly Pop Data after today:~
Borough / Pop Today / 7 days ago / up or down wk to wk/ Testing is % of local population who have tested positive for Covid over past year.
As ever with Pop going up is bad, going down good - the higher the number the better or worse depending on direction moving. The Pop is total cases in past week versus 100,000 POPulation to even out the comparison versus size and expected cases based on numbers living there.
Bolton 381 / 440 / DOWN 59 Testing positive 10.5%
Salford 132 / 29/ UP 103 Testing positive 9.2%
Bury 129 / 58 / UP 71 Testing positive 9.3%
Manchester 129 / 60 / UP 69 Testing positive 9.9%
Rochdale 94 / 47 / UP 47 Testing positive 9.8 %
Wigan 89 / 42 / UP 47 Testing positive 9.1%
Stockport 82 / 17 / UP 65 Testing positive 7.3%
Trafford 76 / 46 / UP 30 Testing positive 7.2 %
Oldham 75 / 31 / UP 44 Testing positive 9.9%
Tameside 62 / 20 / UP 42 Testing positive 8.3
Big rises continue and will until at leat mid week when we reach the point where the numbers escalated big and then hopefully they might settle down.
Salford as you see appears the place nowhere is talking about in quite a bit of trouble. A week to week rise of 103 is very unusual. And not in a good way.
But as you see only Bolton going the right way in any sense at the moment.
Hopefully nothers will follow quicker as they were caught early.
