The thieving gits! Last week I submitted a question to the cabinet office to see if I could get on TV. It was around removing restrictions on a data-driven basis instead of specifying dates. Suffice to say that my question wasn't selected for the briefings but now it's all the rage in the news with even the PM saying that the approach will be "data-driven".

To be fair, it is a logical and obvious approach, which is why I thought that the government wouldn't have thought of it.

I bet Worsley mentioned it to Boris during one of the government briefings :-)

I love that story in the Telegraph as to how the Liverpool Echo politics reporter got offered a jab.

They misread his height (6 feet 2 inches) for 6.2 cm and entered it into his records then decided he had a BMI of 28,000 making him morbidly obese.

Not quite sure how they were going to get him to the jab. In a tank?

Just been for my daily constitutional and the roads are rammed with cars and plenty of people on the streets in groups. And despite being in a pandemic for nearly a year I would that whilst people are wearing masks at least a third of them are wearing them incorrectly. How hard is it? Just wondering where all the cars are going for it to be so busy.

They are probably on the way to John Lennon airport to welcome back the all conquering world champions back from Budapest and not wearing their masks properly because they are full of phlegm

According to the Telegraph today btw they claim Boris has decided not to reduce restrictions significantly in early March. And that we need to be sub 1000 cases a day sustainably before we do so.
I don't pay any attention to what the different papers are speculating/demanding/being briefed about the easing of Lockdown.

But is sub-1000 (assume in England) cases even possible ? Were we ever at that level in the Summer when we had testing ramped up and widely available ? That would equate to less than TEN cases a day in the Manchester LA area.

On vaccine rollout elsewhere...

Looks like EU deliveries and plans are accelerating considerably, and published plans in some states (Denmark...) are now actually faster than UK. We'll see if it turns out that way.

Really great news. Let's help vaccinate the world next.

I heard the US quoted as having done over 50 million too. That seems to be fast escalation
