What does not stack up with that data is the fact that they still seem to be vaccinating the older age ranges. Plus 2054 yesterday or even 8853 last week are not high numbers at all.
But the data will be right, seem to be still doing older or taking spot figures are just your perception. All the UK vaccination numbers dropped last week and aren't back up to maximum yet, as we were expecting.

Hancock also added that they have narrowed down the missing patient with the dangerous variant to just 379 households in South East England. They are checking them all one by one. So I assume they will soon know who this is.

Scotland data:

33 deaths - was 56 last week

542 cases - 655 last week

4,4% positive - was 4,8% last week

784 in hospital - down 40 in day - was 1076 last week

71 ventilated icu - same as yesterday - was 93 last week.

Hospital numbers falling still at a really good rate

Scotland vaccination data:

1, 634, 361 first doses - 22, 583 yesterday - was 17, 883 day before & 19, 753 last week

84, 445 second doses - 5480 yesterday - was 2353 day before & 5861 last week

England hospital deaths 279 - down from 372 last week on what is often one of the two highest days of the week with weekend catch ups added. Last week it was the highest.

The NW number though is high again at 57 - just one less than last week's 58 - so a high percentage.

It is always high on Tuesdays as it has problems reporting over the weekend to a greater degree than other regions - a factor that has been true for the whole pandemic.

England hospital deaths by age:

0 - 19 (1) 0.3%

20 - 39 (6) 2.2%

40 - 59 (26) 9.3%

60 - 79 (107) 38,4%

80 PLUS (139) 49.8%

11.8% under 60 again. But no other major shift.

These numbers are of limited value and may never fall much lower but the shift that has occurred has been in the expected direction to support the impact of reduction in deaths on older ages.

Northern Ireland data:

2 deaths - was 5 last week

149 cases - was 225 last week - third successive day under 150 cases.

8.4% Positivity - was 12.2% last week

25 care home outbreaks - down 1 on yesterday - was 47 last week

7 day rolling cases total 1440 - down from 1551 yesterday and 1929 last week

289 patients - down 13 in day - was 376 last week

30 ventilated - up 1 on yesterday - was 39 last week.

279 England hospital deaths by region:

58 NE & Yorkshire, 57 North West, 54 Midlands, 46 South East, 26 London, 26 East. 12 South West

22 in North Cumbria highest today.

This is not the first time in past week this trust has had the most UK deaths. Anyone know why?

Dartford at 16 the only other high number.

In the North Wesr Pennine Acute at 9 is the most and 7 in East Lancashire.
