Anyone any idea why the Isle of Man‘s numbers are suddenly on the rise after months of very few cases?
Very few people on the island had the virus, and now someone has brought the more transmissible variant on to it.

Regional Scoreboard

Most areas down a little. Good day for the North West.

East down 25 to 451

London down 81 to 542

South East down 16 to 540

South West up 9 to 312

East Midlands down 170 to 560

West Midlands down 184 to 626

Biggest falls in the MIdlands today

North East down 69 to 282

Yorkshire down 46 to 856

Yorkshire again the top area as has been true for a few days. But only just from NW.

North West - down 90 to 799 - lowest NW score in 6 months.

Greater Manchester highlights:

Another good day here. Down 54 to 380.

More than half NW fall so % of NW falls on day by 1. 2% to 47.6%

Every borough under 100 again. A few up a few down but not by much and crucially again everyone down week to week and two more boroughs drop below the magic 100 weekly pop score.

Five days ago there were none and had not been for weeks. Now there are 4 and others closing in on doing so.

No prizes for guessing top dog - Trafford has another new low of just 14 cases. Three scores in the teens on the bounce. First time in 6 months.

Manchester also has a full week of sub 100 numbers for the first time since late last Summer.
