There's a word missing in that final tweet and that's "known" before pre-existing.

Yeah, builders, printers, decorators, police, firefighters, manufacturing operatives, bakers ad infinitum, can all sit in their PJ's at their laptops and crack on for three months...
Remember before the takeover?...I know it will. Eventually. I just cant envisage it. And i struggle with the unknown. If someone said itll be 2 years i can get my head round that. But the unknown kills me
Yes (my missus works there) they will be staying open (where they have opened), the NHS ones are now seeing everybody because they have no choice due to the way they get paid, obviously it's still pretty restricted turn round as they have very restrictive ways to see people, even with full PPE, if they do anything that causes aerosol they have to close the surgery for 30 minutes, then the surgery is deep cleaned after that, if it's just a check up then they can see patients consecutively.Anyone know if dentists were mentioned as being open or closed?
....for kids, because kids don't get seriously ill, nobody mentioned the teachers ;-)Two staff seriously ill in hospital after Covid outbreak at Salford school

Everywhere in GM weekly pop goes up and only Bolton JUST not in the 300s or 400s. Two or three weeks ago when we SHOULD have locked everyone was in the 100s and falling. Now the NW has ended up being gifted the new variant for Christmas and instead of being in a strong position we are heading into a nightmare where as London falls we will be the region in the deepest hole during January.
If you live in the NW and are not angry - you should be. This was easily foreseen and could have been avoided.
Far too optimistic as usual, it's just wishful thinking. If the virus behaves and the vaccine rollout goes OK we'll have 13 million vaccinated in 6 weeks on top of the millions who have been infected.
