I was hoping we'd never really know but the outbreaks again in the same areas of Italy will highlight how long having had it covers you from getting it again and stop all this herd immunity talk.At least as long as people who catch Covid so at least 6 months in the vast majority of cases. How much longer than 6 months is uncertain. Last night’s Channel 4 News showed another surge in cases in Bergamo in Italy, further underlining that “herd immunity” without vaccination isn’t achievable.
Hopefully Italy will also learn if the go down the area lockdown route to not let thousands flee in trains before beginning it too.
