He most certainly didn't, he said it wouldn't be fair for ALL exams to go ahead as normal, that is utterly ambiguous in the extreme.

I get you tend to defend things he does and that's completely fine as is your right but please don't try to make out he's said things that he hasn't.

I genuinely couldn't give less of a shit about political bias im not Labour nor Conservative all I care about are my family and friends and this position we find ourselves in, 10 months down the line from when we were in this exact same position, affects those closest to me hence my anger and utter contempt for the circus that weve got telling us what to do
Gove confirmed it today

Gove confirms GCSE and A-level exams cancelled

GCSE and A-level exams have been cancelled in England for this year, Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove has confirmed.
Announcing the new lockdown for England, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said schools and colleges in England would close to most pupils until at least half term.
A government source had told the BBC GCSE and A-level exams would be cancelled, but vocational exams would go ahead.
Gove confirmed the news on Radio 4's Today programme.
He said Education Secretary Gavin Williamson was talking to exam regulator Ofqual about how best to assess pupils.

Exactly what I’d do and now we’ve got the additional restrictions back in, I think they might.

One key thing still missing to me though, we have to have mandatory testing and/or quarantining at all border entries too.

Its mind bogglingly idiotic we haven’t done that already months ago.
You aren’t allowed in to the UK from today without a negative test in the previous 72 hours.

They don't test anywhere near as many as we do I would guess a couple of weeks down the line we could see hospitalisations increase across Europe.

Even still, they were finding 50k cases in France of the 'original' strain per day not too long ago, it's inconceivable that they're now reporting 10k cases per day (or 4k in yesterday's case!) if this new strain is over there, and also seems equally as inconceivable that the new strain *wouldn't* be over there. I take BA's point on board about population density, but even with that factor it just seems all a bit strange. I'm in no way calling conspiracy or some shite btw, just puzzled by this.

But they are expected to pass it as well, not just read it. I did level 1 and 2 at work and it took three full days of training.

It says 'Duration: Approx. 1 hour' on there so not sure if we're referring to the same thing? I really don't think that's unreasonable personally. I also do expect some level of qualifications for anyone sticking a needle in my arm.

Tbf, just scrolled through that, and that's not really that much is it? It'll take about 15 minutes to read. Big text, lots of images, lots of the pages are indexes. It's nowt.
Actually we’re missing the point here.

These people are retired. They have been asked to come back and help out.
wWhy make them jump through bureaucratic hoops to get them to do it. No wonder they are binning it off, I would Too.

It could be an online thing with questions at the end, and every employee in the organisation will have to do it every couple of years. The radicalisation training for prevent was exactly that, takes about an hour.

If 30 million people can vote on election day why can't we have a vaccination wk and get the whole country done it takes 2 mins to vote 2 mins for injection or is that me being stupid?
I think you know the answer...
