As i understand it lots if everyday drugs have an associated risk of side effects including an increased risk of blood clots these include Asprin and Ibrobrufen. People need to get a grip and take the vaccines. The risk of dying from Covid is significantly greater. I wonder if those countries that have banned the AZ vaccine have fully explained this to their people. I doubt it somehow.

I just wonder though, with this extreme level of testing proposed, that's a lot of furlough/support money, I would have thought the employer will be expected to stump up as well. And if loads of your staff are testing many times over a year, I think the appetite from an employer's point of view will diminish greatly. I agree though, without the support system for staff it's a pretty pointless exercise.
Personally I would question the accuracy of some of the current testing. I send off my kit and just over 24 hours later I am told my results.Initiallly they were posted to Glasgow ( from dorset) , now its probably Milton Keynes. On the one hand you could say how efficient the service is or are they under so much pressure to achieve results they fast track it with no real testing. They ask for so much information when you register that this information possibly sways the result.

We have 3-4 vaccines now though. If one carries a minor risk, control distribution to reduce risk. This feels normal with regards to medicine.

its pointless anyway as it’s voluntary.

those who abide by the regs will continue and test themselves , those who don’t will continue to visit mates houses and not bother testing.
That's the pandemic in a nutshell, same over here.

Politics are trying to get all parts of the society into the equation to fight pandemic quickly, but how?

As you say, those with high responsibility and awareness follow the rules by intrinsic motivation and actually they don't need any external rules at all. They know how to behave.

The rest doesn't understand or doesn't want to follow. We fail to get these groups into the equation in a democratic plural society.

And as said in other posts, media have a massive impact as they permanently take governmental measures under bombardment only to produce "news" and make money, using the freedom of our system.

We have no answer to that fundamental problem.
So we have to swallow the pill, be patient til vaccinated (with the individually best vaccine) and accept the rest.

It's utterly hopeless. My arm is still painful when I move it in certain directions and at times throbs. Thankfully I can use it for everyday activities. I'm due the second jab in a couple of weeks and have serious doubts whether to go ahead.
Astra zeneca jab ? I got mine 24th March and my arm is still a bit sore from the jab more so when in bed and roll onto that side and arm doesn’t feel full strength .2nd jab due in June but I’ll probably go ahead and get it anyhow I’ve had a decent existence ;-)

Decide when you get there but make sure to say what happened to you, I begged for the vacx because of going on holiday but no luck

That's the one holidays etcetera although it's looking like this year I won't be flying anyway. Were your symptom bad then?

Yes Zenica. I got mine on the 21st January and like you it's sore if I lie on that side. It occasionally throbs and mobility is limited and painful when I move it in certain directions.
