Coronavirus (2021) thread

Ha, I've been watching it fall down the page today as well. I was waiting for it to reach the bottom then I was going to post something irrelevant on a thread on page 2 to knock it off altogether!
It is really good news.

Though I am also editing one of my books from the pdf as an updated version is being produced and I need to rewrite what has happened in the last 20 years. In about 20 minutes if the publisher had their way.

So I am fairly distracted by other things, too, right now. Which is no bad thing as it infers we are returning to some kind of normality.

Do not forget that that 1649 - whilst down 22 from yesterday - has no numbers from Wales in it. When yesterday did.

So even though they have been adding less than 100 all week in Wales they have a double maybe treble dose to add tomorrow and if not a bank holiday would have added 2 days worth today as normal now on a Monday.

Scotland and N Ireland combined cases are slightly down day to day and Wales missing - so-

England will be up by 76 cases today from yesterday.

But that will still be about 300 down on last Monday.

And over 1000 down on 2 Mondays ago.

Zoe App today btw had predicted 859 cases (it has been running pretty steadily at about half the actual UK numbers)

And ongoing symptomatic cases down slightly at 15, 233 - down 274 on day.

It is also reflecting well the fall in Greater Manchester but the problems in Bolton seemingly tied to the most infected in the north west - Chorley - adjacent to Bolton and even higher in predicted case numbers based on reports.

Chorley is on 335 cases - at a rate of 2893 (per million)

Bolton is on 485 cases - at a rate of 1712 (per million)

The other GM boroughs are:

Bury 27 / 141 per million

Manchester 88 / 162 per million

Oldham 19 / 83 per million

Rochdale 29 / 133 per million

Salford 28 / 109 per million

Stockport 41 / 142 per million

Tameside 22/ 99 per million

Trafford 172 / 736 per million

Wigan 29 / 90 per million

As you can see this matches very well the actual scenario of real cases in GM right now with Bolton and Trafford well above the rest.

Finally updated. Not a great day for Bolton - which now is in real trouble.

Why are the media ignoring this story? It had THREE times as many cases today as Manchester did! And 9 times as many as Liverpool.

Driving GM up in ways it would otherwise not be doing. With numbers in Bolton like the other boroughs GM would be sub 100 some days now. Instead it is up yet again day to day and week to week when the North West is falling,

Manchester on the other hand its best numbers in 9 months.

Even Trafford had more than Manchester today - an unimaginable thought a month or so ago,

Have I just missed this Bolton story on the news or has the news been very tardy once again like it was in July when Bolton spiked out of nowhere and sent GM into months of lockdown the rest of the UK did not get until winter.

Hope our electioneering politicians have not taken their eye off the ball before it gets too late.
