Registered for vaccination last tuesday (first day that registration was open to my age; 58). Just waiting to get the text back with a date for the first vaccine. Apparently, it takes about 2-3 weeks for notification of a date.

Some muppet with 6k followers with no qualifications to post his scaremongering shite. Why even quote him god only knows.
In that very same thread he goes on to state similar shaped graphs from similar opening up scenarios from Israel immediately preceding huge falls, as well as taking into account bank holiday effects.

The only muppets are those that pick and choose what they want to share to support their own viewpoints.

HOSPITAL DATA

Summary:

The weekend was very mixed in England with some places in the south such as London going up and Yorkshire and the North West falling. Resulting in a fall of 29 across the weekend. The NW was the only region to fall in both patients and ventilators - which in England overall fell by 10.

The position was mixed in the other nations too - though at low numbers they are at (all around South East England type numbers) this is of small impact. Under 200 in hospital and 12 ventilated in the three home nations added together.

So little change but mostly in the right direction.

10 September last time fewer were on ventilators in NW and 6 September last time fewer patients. A little ahead of the UK average time table slipping backwards into last Summer.

UK total:

NB NUMBERS TODAY COVER THE THREE DAY WEEKEND WITH THE UP/DOWN BUT V MEANS AS WAS LAST MONDAY

My point exactly.

Some muppet who's provided excellent balance and research throughout the pandemic, if anything could be criticised for being overly positive at times. His followers include the highly respected John Burn-Murdoch of the Financial Times and a considerable amount of verified accounts of people from scientific backgrounds.

It always absolutely amazes me that people will lap up whatever positive news they see but anything that can be considered slightly negative (and that's what this is btw, a far cry from 'scaremongering') and everyone's automatically looking for reasons to completely dismiss it.

Perhaps instead, have a look through his previous tweets and the type of people he's engaged in conversation with over that platform, and if you still want to completely ignore it then that's up to you.

Not doubting her or you but why does it prove you had covid ?
Well I was very ill for a start with all the symptoms from the end of March last year. But didn't have a positive test. Also, the general medical opinion* is that those who had Covid have a much rougher time with the first jab than the 2nd, whereas those who haven't had it genrally have a rougher time with the second jab. There are exceptions of course but tgere you go.
* = My daughter is a medical registrar on the Covid wards but is a consultant from August and this is where the opinion comes from.

Greater Manchester Cases

204 cases today - up 18 on yesterday. From 410 North West cases. And so under 50%.

But up 64 from 140 last Monday. Biggest week to week rise in some time. NW rise wk to wk was 186. So - again - despite Bolton's travails massively impacting the 10 borough total - this was just a third not half of that NW score.

So well under par for GM. And but for Bolton the county would be doing very well indeed right now. Of course, the risk is it does not stay in Bolton now that we are moving about more.

Bolton - slight fall by 2 to 89 - up by 44 on last week. Pop score rise today was 31 - down 1. A start,

Manchester up 4 to 30 which is up 16 from last week unfortunately. But very reasonable numbers here still.

Rochdale takes third place yet again going up by 3 on 18 - which is up 5 week to week.

Trafford had a bad day up 12 to also go on 18 - though up just 1 wk to wk. Doing much better here now. Lost 4 Pop score points today on Stockport as a result.

Wigan also up by 9 on day to 16 - which is up 4 wk to wk.

Meaning that the other 5 boroughs stayed in single figures today:

Stockport falls 3 to 9 which is the same week to week. No sign yet of the Zoe trend which on there is already falling.

Salford up 2 also to 9 which is up 5 on last wk.

Oldham up 2 to 7 also - which is 4 down wk to wk.

And top of the tree today are two boroughs neck and neck:-

Bury as usual. Down 7 to 4 - which is down 3 more from last week

And no surprise here

Tameside down 7 also to 4 which is down 4 on last week.

Weekly total cases:-

Bolton closing in on 500 weekly cases more than double Manchester and 5 times most of the rest. Bury still easily in the lead.

Bury 42, Tameside 54, Oldham 66, Trafford 73, Salford 85. Stockport 87, Wigan 88, Rochdale 110, Manchester 225, Bolton 484.

Has anybody had the AZ jab and not been ill after it? Seems everybody I know had the side effects
