Had my 2nd jab yesterday. Aside from a sore arm, till lunchtime today, and feeling a bit stuffed up, much better than the first one in terms of side effects.
My daughter says it sort of proves I had Covid-19 during the first wave. No shit says I.
I had my 2nd AZ jab yesterday at the Etihad. Other than a sore arm, I’ve been ok today. I felt like I had a bad hangover the day after the first jab. I’m not aware that I have had COVID. Fingers crossed, we are seeing the tail end of this in the UK.

Wife happens to ring local dr surgery asked if I could have the jab (29 so not my turn yet) said they had some left over Pfizer slots for Friday. Not gonna lie pretty nervous as suffer from pretty bad anxiety issues but I know I need to get this done! Any words from other members who have had the jab appreciated! Thanks

Having Pfizer on Friday too. My mum, who is in her mid-80s, had both hers a while ago and nothing except a bit of soreness in her arm for a couple of days. Nothing to worry about really.

88 year old mum has had two pfizer jabs with no ill effects at all, so I understand your concerns but really you should be fine. (on a side note how can you follow city if you have anxiety issues?)

Admissions are not rising in any obvious way. What is that Ryan chap suggesting? Who is he?

They looked like they might be last week and I commented on it here and said we needed to watch what happened this weekend.

We did and the numbers stayed below 100.

Here are the England Covid admissions up to 2 days ago.

98 - 126 - 92 - 129 - 99 - 107 - 108 - 128 - 89 - 81 - 82 - 68 - 92 - 98 - 76 - 96 - 88 - 77 - 80

Not sure what is alarming about those numbers or suggesting they are going up.

Until 2 or 3 weeks ago they had never gone below 100 in months and had been over 200 not that long ago and in four figures in January. Now they have been under 100 for multiple successive days.

Not doubting her or you but why does it prove you had covid ?

I despair at some of these questions every time. You just knew this whole hugging thing would bring out the scotch egg morons again.
Yep. Idiots don’t realise that there was never a ban on hugging in the first place.

Sure we're all part of a whatsapp group where a pub meet is being discussed. Not till I've had all my jabs thanks lads.

Regional Cases Today

Cases show up or down on yesterday and the v number is versus 7 days ago.

SOUTH

East UP 95 to 199 v 154

London UP 35 to 273 v 193

South East UP 222 to 404 v 145 - One of the largest daily and week to week rises in weeks. South East now second highest region.

South West down 25 to 62 v 59 - Large fall here in total contrast to SE. Lowest sore today.

Big contrast in numbers in SE and SW today!

MIDLANDS

East UP 40 to 190 v 181

West UP 57 to 166 v 137

NORTH

North East down 6 to 77 v 63

Yorkshire UP 75 to 319 v 250 (Week to week falls continue and now behind the North West and the South East by a comfortable margin. Not having a Bolton as yet helps.

NORTH WEST UP 118 to 410 v 224.

Up very big and even more week to week and now the highest numbers in the country by far. Bolton the main reason, of course as it had nearly a quarter of these cases on its own.

GREATER MANCHESTER

Up 18 day to day - well under the 118 NW rise in the day - and up UP 64 week to week - biggest GM rise in month and taking it to 204. Despite the input from Bolton this rise is less than expected as par given the NW rise of 186 week to week. So other parts of NW are struggling too (Chorley and East Lancashire).
