As someone else has pointed out this isn't a pissing against a wall contest. We should be grateful that vaccination rates are increasing across all countries.

Little wonder what with the threats of vaccine blockades and a Irish border closure. It's good to see we're all pulling in the same direction now, though.couldn't agree more, unfortunately it was reported as one a few months back.

Yes the UK rate is going to accelerate by 15% to 30% over the next few weeks. There was a discussion on Sky news about it earlier in the week. You're suggesting the UK will leap ahead again? It seems highly unlikely. The EU will cease being constrained by vaccine supply in that time.
It'll have to match what we were doing 12 weeks previous.Yes the UK rate is going to accelerate by 15% to 30% over the next few weeks. There was a discussion on Sky news about it earlier in the week.
Utter tosh - the vaccination rate is lower than the UK on average across the EU. Only Germany, the Netherlands and Hungary are ahead and it would take 9 weeks to catch up to our current level of vaccination. The EU vaccination programme is around 6 weeks behind the UK, and catching up. At the same time they are exporting half of what they make.
This is hardly a disaster - which is the point I was making. You'll note I've repeatedly said that the UK has done very well.
Really, what did you mean then?Again, that's actually not what I wrote.
That's twice in 30 minutes you've misrepresented me.
second doses do little to prevent general transmission, but first doses make a massive difference.
