My boss has been awesome, he‘s a top geezer and completes understands. Hasn’t an issue about us working from home and as long as we get what’s needed done it doesn’t matter if we only work 1 hour a day.
I was only being facetious, I’m the boss, lol.We work outside our jobs changed to supporting foodbanks which was good.
Work at this time of year is slack so asked our line manager if we could split into two teams of 3 working every other day but on call when not in. This was to cut the risk to us 6 and to make sure if we get an out break we still have a team of 3 ! We asked 4 days ago and still no fed back :(.
I guess getting all the xmas decorations down asap important. It's a shame even with barries around us ths public still come and moan to us .
Employer has finally put out a work from home rota but it's voluntary.
Lots of martyrs (cnuts) have said they will continue to work full time in the office, they could all work from home but think it'll be held against them, knowing the boss as i do & his " it's only flu" comments, it will be held against them.

I couldn’t be arsed engaging when you posted a similar response to my post the other day, but unless youre a tinfoil hat wearer, then we know the virus originally emerged from China, whether it was from wet markets or a lab. And I think my position has been vindicated by the WHO now being dicked around trying to get into China to investigate.
Sadly I don't think situations like this are rare! There are *loads* of people still in offices that simply don't need to be.

I just think in reality the vast majority of people will be well aware that mutant strains will appear all over the world and ours and the SA won’t be the only ones, it’s just us that have one of the best lab systems for identifying said strains.You did engage by "Lol'ing" it. But If you don't think we could be blamed for this new strain if it hits other countries hard then your being Naive in the extreme. Every other government / country out there are trying to divert blame away from themselves for deaths. Press around the world have already named it the UK strain ( tagging us in with it forever )and nicknamed us plague island.
Then Just look at how our Gov/Press are already diverting things to look at the South Africa strain and people are already blaming them for not locking it down etc. we're openly stating there strain is worse than ours to divert news away from ours.
