Every region has fallen today apart from a small rise in the South West.

North West today far and away the worst numbers and actually above the East and not far off the South East.

If this becomes a pattern the NW has a terrible problem over coming weeks.

The delay in acting was just long enough to tip the NW over the edge it seems.

Total opposite of what a NHS trust assistant director of comms told me yesterday. He told me that getting enough vaccine made, patient lists and vaccine systems are working well right now, hitting daily jab capacities easily. He doesn't see a problem with 2m jabs per week being achieved very soon.
Hmmm? One's a frontline gp and the other a director of comm's

Also opposite of what a customer who works alongside AZ told me.

Covid-19 Vaccination Programme Update

The Covid-19 vaccination programme is well underway. We are pleased to advise that all care home residents have received their first dose of the vaccine. In addition, over 2600 Health & Social Care staff have been vaccinated so far. Our vaccination team are continuing to get first doses of the vaccine to as many people as quickly as possible in line with the national rollout plan."

Whilst I am no fan of our vaccine policy - though in some ways it made sense to order some of the various kinds as up front nobody knew which might work - THAT really had nothing to do with Brexit.

It's just a way to squeeze it into the story.

I posted days ago what we had on order and when it was due to be delivered including this one.

Perfectly possible another will be approved soon that the EU have not got ordered or due soon but we have ordered early.

But there will be no Brexit means vaccine boost to Britain stories then.

This is entirely a lottery and we ordered quite a lot of different ones and because of Brexit had a head start on others by not waiting for their approval and approving it ourselves.

So regardless of opinion on Brexit it simply has nothing to do with this story. But it sells papers I guess.
