I know of a whole Family who went to Wembley for the England semi-final fixture, have all come down with Covid.

I was wondering if we'll see a semi final effect on the figures about now. Mainly from people gathering together closer to home rather than the match attendees themselves.

It's not just about you though is it. It's about saving the lives of others, and getting out of this shit storm ASAP.
My health is just about me, I feel I will put myself at increased risk by getting vaccinated, so I am not getting it.

It’s other peoples responsibly to get themselves vaccinated, if they feel they’re at risk.

I’m at more risk of catching covid from someone who has been vaccinated by the look of things, and that’s a risk I’m willing to accept.

I’ll continue to self isolate unless I really want to go somewhere (which has been 4 meals and 2 trips to Alton Towers with kids since this thing started). All you vaccinated people can go out and pass it onto other vaccinated people and blame it on people like me if you want, I’ll stay safe at home thanks.

Oh my, there are so many things wrong and inaccurate about this. You just hide yourself away for the rest of your life. Be my guest.

Out of curiosity what risk do you think your at with the vaccine over any other medication you may take?

as an FYI, These vaccines were not rushed. they had the same level of testing as any other vaccines, the phases happened quicker due to funding allowing trials to fill up quicker etc etc. and frankly are the most scrutinised medicines in human history.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good scare story.

Whether the risk is higher from getting it off a vaccinated person, or unvaccinated, you are still far better off getting vaccinated because the restrictions are coming to an end and over the next few months. However we do this, there's going to be one huge exit wave or a series of smaller ones and if you don't get vaccinated, you run a significant risk of getting infected.

Increasingly the vaccines are going to become less effective until news ones are launched but they will still help you fight the illness when you get ill.

Not one person escaped getting 'flu at some point when they grew up did they? So if you want to get ill, you go right ahead.

Yesterday I was invited to a variant vaccine trial by Astrazeneca but it was already fully subscribed. That to me marks the beginning of the end of Covid-19 because however much it mutates as it spreads through the population we will respond. Get your vaccine, and forget about it and get on with it because after that you might get ill but chances are you will be OK.

I do feel sorry for those that are vulnerable to infection such as the elderly because for these groups this is not over until we have very effective vaccines. For me, I am moving on now. We are in an exit-wave. Maybe we'll have to back out at some point because it will get too much but we we are going to go back to normal over the coming months so get vaccinated if you haven't already, or run the risk of getting ill. For a few moments it simply isn't worth hiding away or taking risks with your health.

Not a great advert for the AZ vaccine: all five of us in our family have got the virus despite me and my wife being double jabbed months ago. My and my son are really very ill too. The other three are just starting.
