VERY NOTICEABLE MOSTLY SECOND DOSES BEING GIVEN NOW. FEWER FRST.
What’s wrong with people in Manchester with only 62% having been jabbed at all. I know a few can’t have it for whatever reason but are 30% fucking idiots? There’s certainly no shortage of opportunity to get it.

Could the student population distort their figures? There’s about 100k of them in a borough of 550k people.

Certainly does. All the big university towns and cities are lagging well behind and that really cannot be a coincidence.

Manchester’s population is about 520000 with about 120000 in the 0-17 age range. That leaves 400000 adults and, according to the government website 321000 have had a first dose and 223000 have had a second dose.
That would put Manchester over 80% for firsts and about 60% for seconds.
If you add in 100000 for students, Manchester would be on the percentage numbers quoted on that website.

If you check gov.uk, you'll find the vaccination take-up across the age-groups and that shows that the lower uptake is right across the age-groups when compared to the rest of Greater Manchester. It's not as bad as it was.

it’s alright to throw out the ‘just get back to normal’ line … but what happens when hospital and ICU units are filling up at an alarming rate ? What if we overburden the NHS ? Have people on the street suffocating?

You keep going on about this as if it’s inevitable. What makes you think that this will happen now with the vast majority vaccinated or with antibodies through infection? It hasn’t happened at any point during the pandemic so why would it happen now?

As if by magic, god help us….

Seem as though you are quoting the Sun, just for fairness I’ll also share this

That’s a weird take on saying “fairness”.

I‘m not being negative, just pointing out that it’s not good news if Israel are reversing decisions. The US haven’t had delta rip though yet, so let’s see how they feel once it does over there. Hopefully we will get our lives back soon enough, it’s just not looking good on the balance of things at the moment with restrictions being lifted whilst cases are skyrocketing.
