Have to agree, Dr Hilary spouting bollocks on tv at the moment saying what ifs the vaccine doesn’t work against new variants etc etc. So what do we do then stay locked up forever, I’m sure he has a shit load of money to keep him going but there are people on their arses out there. Im sorry people will get ill and possibly die but that sadly is life, if you feel the need to wear a mask do so, if you don’t want to go to a nightclub don’t go. Don’t want to go shopping order on line, in fact if you feel the need not to leave your house we are in a time when you don’t need to, if it’s a necessity then I’m sorry but life must go on.

Absolute madness they have reopened the nightclubs, can't believe what I am seeing to be honest.
Don't want to deprive the young of enjoying themselves but a high percentage will not be fully vaccinated and thus potential carriers.
What on earth are our leaders thinking?

The reality is that If they don't want to be vaccinated get them to catch it.
Far better now than in the winter.

Suppose it’s largely a question now of individual and social responsibility. No individual lives in isolation, however, so one’s choices and actions will inevitably have an effect on others, too.

What is social distancing doing to our immune systems? Being apart and not having the human interactions we had before March 2020, what is that doing for the human body’s ability to fight off all the other bugs and viruses we get? There is a point where we will need to mix, build up immunity in the young and protect the vulnerable, hiding away whilst we have the tool of vaccines available is not the way forward.

I've just heard him compare what we are doing now to Holland 2 months ago who saw a case rise and had to shut down. Hollands fully vaccinated rate TODAY is 42% never mind then whilst ours is over 60%!!!

He also claimed the UK is doing something that has never been done in the world before whilst quoting an unnamed scientific body as saying it's murderous. No country has ever had no restrictions before?? What about China and some of the Asian countries who are not only back to normal but they have been normal for a year. What about the US where in some states mandatory mask policies have been made ILLEGAL and it's been this way for months yet cases had dropped like a rock until recently.

These people should not be allowed to say unsubstantiated bollocks live on TV.

i think the isolation stuff will need looking at asap, i know of one facility in the NW of England (not saying which one but its sector is critical to your everyday life) that is now requesting staff sleep there over night for extra money, as they are reaching lowest operational margins with regards available staff. In fact there would be no question of it being allowed to go beyond, so i dont know why it's not exempt from isolation already? i see health workers might be this way for exceptional circumstances, soon.

The isolation rules are no longer fit for purpose.

My partner & I are both double jabbed but are on day 7 of a 10 day isolation, as we were in contact with someone who tested positive. We have both taken PCR tests since and they are negative also. I work from home but she works for the NHS doing work that is life or death for some people. Half of her team are isolating which means that the service they provide is compromised.

I think in the coming weeks lots of people will be getting pinged to self isolate unless they change it. I'm sure I heard something about it changing in August and that you might not have to self isoltae if you are double jabbed by then, but I think the next few weeks until then could be absolute chaos.
