I'm going through a wierd phase. Back at work and full of energy, but I can still feel the virus sitting in my head. My memory is really odd too, like I've been smoking spliffs.

That’s how I felt last couple of days, I put it down to it having affected my ears and sinuses, however that’s gone today.

4 deaths - was 0 last week

712 cases - was 861 last week

5.5% positivity - was 5.5% last week.

101 patients - up 1 on yesterday - was 67 last week

25 Ventilated - up 5 on yesterday - was 10 last week


GOOD NEWS:- Cases fallen week to week for third day running. The positivity number stable shows it is not fewer tests causing that,

BAD NEWS: Deaths rising (though these would lag cases by a week or two). And patients rising but notably ventilator numbers shooting up. Again these would lag cases by days or a week.


NB: IN ALL PREVIOUS WAVES WALES HAS HAD MORE DEATHS THAN YOU MIGHT EXPECT FOR SIZE AND I HAVE SAID BEFORE I SUSPECT THE HIGH PREVALENCE OF ELDERLY EX MINERS WHO HAVE BEEN LEFT WITH LUNG ISSUES FROM YEARS UNDERGROUND MIGHT BE A FACTOR. BUT THAT IS SPECULATION BY ME ONLY.

Has anyone got a graph about how well the vaccine is working, can't seem to find one anywhere?

Ideally one that compares the 2nd and 3rd waves in some form of stylised pyramid design would be best, i think.
