At least I can lick my windows without having to stand on a chair with all my other sheep friends just so I can reach them ..
And by the way , I don’t agree with aggression on any march. A group telling folks to take of their masks especially if they feel venerable is wrong.. They themselves don’t like being told to wear them, double standards eh..
I’m happy for you Jazzy and your treasured passport, maybe , just maybe in COVID related it won’t come back to haunt you .
I quite like the taste of windowlene by the

Because the UK me a decision based on reducing hospitalisations and deaths rather than sticking with vaccine trial data. They then looked at the real world stats and determined that 8 weeks would be better than 12. Increadiibly using real world statistical data It turns out to have been the right decision.

I was aware of that but not why it works the way it does. More a medical question about why efficacy increases

Good to see case numbers falling dramatically from their 54k peak a week ago with cases over 40% lower than then and no sign of the decline slowing down following rule changes on Monday, which could well have started kicking in by yesterday or today. Tuesday’s figure will provide a good clue if it’s sustainable with the next 2 days being based on weekend data. Cautiously optimistic.

Its sad that the fight against disease has become political. Why don't we all fight together against the common enemy of the virus? Because Its human nature I suppose. The virus has the advantage of being inhumane.

Continents, Union's and countries can't work together and you expect BMers to be on the same page?

Im sure the details of this will come out in the end, but was the problem not that there were too many bed blockers? I'm not sure on the testing facilities for outpatients and any loss of life, at any age is a tragedy.
As a country and individuals we certainly weren't prepared for a pandemic, I doubt we still are, as bad as covid has been we should be thankful it wasn't much worse, it could easily have been and we (UK) wouldn't have been able to control the outcome
Remember the (unused) nightingale hospitals? If elderly covid patients were bedblocking they probably should have gone there. I imagine after the (commendable) achievement of getting the nightingales up and running the govt realised they couldn't staff them, and that's when the oldies got sent back to their care homes to deliver covid to their peers.

Party central tonight. The Night Club restrictions are going to make little difference and most pubs in a lot of places have been open to 1am+ since the late 1990s and slowly phased out night clubs in a lot of towns.

I remember being shocked when in seemed central London was the only place that pubs still shut at 11 pm about 18 years ago, but Westminster thinks everywhere is like London.

The is bound to be a massive spike in the next week, even saw 2 scraps for good measure in half an hour and I was only walking to to the shop. First Saturday back in full swing, hot weather, and it is the wild west, head guards would be more use than masks though.
