Happy to help.

Right, I'm getting far too tetchy for my own good. Off on hols for a couple of weeks and going to have a digital detox.

Assuming none of us catches the pestilence, that is.

Here's hoping cases still going down when we get back.

[Edit, reading back it seems like I'm ignoring @Healdplace - to clarify that's not the case at all!]
Have a great break, Don't bring the Abracadabra Variant back with you mind!

None taken. I have no issue at all with anyone thinking what they choose. I do not post in here for fun or glory. And I am very aware most people will not have the time to read most or even any of it.

And I would not knowingly be abrupt if someone missed something - and the reply that seems to being referred to was actually agreeing with the poster on the number they cited and why I post them in here every day. Because they do matter more as the poster had suggested rightly,
Head & shoulders the best contribution to this thread by your good self.

Clear concise figures with no agenda.

Happily buy you a drink if we run into each other for your efforts....I'd even introduce you to Mrs Moon, apart from a couple on here who know her, that's no mean endorsement. ;)

This is super important. We started off aiming at the most vulnerable and worked down the list. Now we need to forget that, and vaccinate the so called 'super-mixers'. It's the most efficient way of minimising the risk to the general public from the disease that is out there, and minimising the chances of further strains developing.

There's a lot of talk about making vaccines obligatory for clubs, football, and so on. The most effective move would be to start with pubs, but that's politically out of the question for Boris, we have to maintain the fairytale view of pubs and pub goers as a great British bastion of freedom...

The govt seem to just want to bypass the task of strategising a clear informational campaign, or provide any form of positive incentive, in case it goes wrong. They'll still get where we need to be, but relying on negative reinforcement and restriction will leave a nasty taste in the mouth for some.
I'm not sure how I feel about mandatory vaccines (by subjugation). From a legal standpoint the vaccines are still classed as experimental so purely for ethical reasons forcing an experimental vaccine on people in any form is completely unprecedented and would be a highly dangerous move for our society. I am 100% behind the vaccines but we MUST reserve the right for people to choose without any implications for that choice.

At the moment, I don't like the idea that the government currently has extended powers that go beyond Parliament, I don't like that people are happy for them to force anything upon anyone whilst a critical health emergency no longer exists. I also don't like that there is a fast rising movement within government to gather and utilise our health data which may otherwise result in societal punishment if you don't comply.

We need to tread very carefully indeed.

And this impacts you how?

Nobody is stopping you laughing your ass off at data on people getting sick and dying in a global pandemic.

Or not reading it ever at all. Which is your choice. And I have no issue with anyone doing that.

I do not expect more than a tiny fraction of those posting in here care about the data I post. Or read any of it. Bothers me not. Why should it?

I have asked the Mods more than once that if they want me to stop posting just to say so and I happily will,

But why laugh at it being posted - please just ignore. Simple.

I have also asked the mods many times if they want me to stop posting. They always say yes.

I think it should have gone into a separate thread tbh. Start reading something and then a massive paragraph appear with how many cases a corner shop in Bradford has. General covid discussion thread and then one for discussing the UK and it's daily data wouldn't have been hard.

everyone on here appreciates healds updates , so who are you to say it should all be in a separate thread -
Easy enough to skip by and ignore - you just wanted to some attention by being a rude bellend.
