ENGLAND HOSPITAL SUMMARY

A pretty meh day here too. But goodish.

Patients fall again for the fourth straight day today - but only just - 15 - to 4879. That is down 232 week to week from 5111. Up on the fall yesterday.

Biggest falls in Midlands and NE & Yorkshire. The latter by the most - 45 to 1020 North West down for the fourth straight day but only by 8 to 818.

Admissions (Wednesday recall as 2 days behind) UP at 747 - first time up week to week too in past 7 days (it was 728 the Wednesday before).

Ventilators fell though To 765 from 770 and down week to week too for first time from 785

These are suggesting we are near the peak but we must see if things change now cases have been rising for a few days.

If the numbers in hospital are still edging down, and not racing up as predicted they would after the 19th July, that'll do for me.

It is but the falls have slowed today and there would be a few days lag between the cases rising this week and their resulting hospitalisation.

Think we need to watch next week and see if or how those 10K cases rise over the past days translates into hospital numbers then.

I think we are probably close to the peak if not at it but not 100% sure we are fully over the top.

Cases in Bromsgrove where I live have finally plateaued. Zoe says they will start to fall next week.

So down 5 in past 24 hours and Down 20 week to week. FIRST WK TO WK FALL IN TWO MONTHS

Last week Numbers rose from 625 to 785 in the week (UP 160) and from day to day to 785 (UP 20)


So first fall in Ventilator patients now which should reduce deaths in coming weeks IF it does not reverse.

As you see NW seems to have had a bad day here and NE & Yorkshire a spectacular week.
