Every disaster movie needs dissenters who choose the wrong path and stridently stick to it. The Poseidon Adventure springs to mind. People will always make wrong choices in life, myself included, the real fault line that is innate within most people, however, is the subsequent refusal to accept they were wrong, in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Politics, religion, football - and this. It’s all the same.

All very depressing.

Trump, social media and it's ability to spread disinformation are culprits in this. The lunatic fringe that had that appalling gathering in London, David Icke, et al, all involved.

I think a lot of it is 20-odd year olds on the whole aren't 'against' vaccines and fully intend to get round to having it...they just can't be arsed / are disorganised and other things in life are taking priority - like going out and getting twatted in pubs/clubs etc

I'm only in my early 30s but 10 years ago I'd probably be the same tbh.

They're probably much higher. Reported Russian deaths were 2.25 the reported number when they got to measuring excess deaths at the end of the 2020 statistical year.
