Seems quite a few double jabbers getting positive tests but bar the general unwell feeling, nothing major like hospitalisation. That's good news.

Cheers, going to France next week. Am double jabbed but need an antigen test to get back into the UK. Am I right in thinking I can just use one of the free ones that I’ve got at home from the NHS?

Unfortunately not.

Needs to be a paid for test; either one purchased here and taken with you or bought locally over there in France.
Assuming you're not going anywhere too far off grid then I'd say just to arrange it over there at a local pharmacy or similar.

No, we paid for one with chronomics and took it with us. Got discount with BA. It was £22.40 and we have just done it in the apartment. Result in 15 mins, you register it on their website (taking pic of the result) and then download certificate for flight home.

I was looking at buying a couple of tests from these. No issues then mate?

A lad did a lateral flow test at work tested positive the whole pump had to isolate, takes a pcr test he’s negative everybody back, what a fucking con, how many holiday people are been tested positive when they aren’t

WALES DATA

1 death - was 0 last week

543 cases - was 581 last week

7.6% positivity - was 7.3% last week

Israel experiencing a very substantial delta wave despite high levels of immunisation. I don't know anything about it i.e., who is getting infected but it's very noticeable.
Most infections are relatively mild - the problem is with mRNA vaccines. 6 months after most had their 2nd jab efficacy in down to about 50%.

Fortunately we went for 12 weeks between jabs (now 8 weeks). And this gives 3.5 times the number of antibodies for Pfizer/Moderna.

Thre is also mounting evidence that the AZ jab may be better for giving long term immunity via T cells.
There is a better report from Birmingham University on this but can't find it at the moment.

What’s to stop a group taking tests prior to the official one to see if anyone has it then getting anyone negative to take the official test?

About 80% of all Covid hospital patients in Northern Ireland under the age of 60 have NOT had the vaccine.

For those still wondering if it matters

Professor Ian Young is using this data to push the younger ages to get vaccinated showing them they CAN and DO end up in hospital if they do not.

NI Has the lowest of all UK vaccination rates and its hospital numbers are going up.

Those on ventilators have risen from 1 to 34 in three weeks.

So they are trying to get this message across that young does not mean invulnerable.
