Total cases 1262 - UP 102 on Yesterday - The whole NW was UP 312

So well under the expected rise and good day for GM

Wk to wk DOWN 17 when the NW is DOWN 6 .

That is also obviously good as is more than the entire NW fall.

GM Weekly Pop Data:~

Borough / Pop Today / 7 days ago / up or down wk to wk/ Testing is % of local population who have tested positive for Covid over past year.

As ever with Pop going up is bad, going down good - the higher the number the better or worse depending on direction moving. The Pop is total cases in past week versus 100,000 POPulation to even out the comparison versus size and expected cases based on numbers living there.

Bury 329 / 283 / UP 46 Testing positive 12.9%

Trafford 329 / 274 / UP 55 Testing positive 10.7%

Stockport 304 / 295 / UP 9 Testing positive 10 6%

Oldham 304 / 338 / DOWN 34` Testing positive 14.0%

Wigan 179 / 240 / DOWN 61 Testing positive 13.1%

Bolton 176 / 189 / DOWN 13 Testing positive 13.5%

GM closing up only 150 from top to bottom - at one point when cases were high it was over 300. Then Bolton were at the wrong end of that split. Now they are at the best end of it.

Wigan have matched their big fall a few weeks later, Others have just edged up.

The impact of last weeks population redistribution in GM boroughs massively benefited Salford but that ends tomorrow and their highly misleading numbers will course correct big time.

Stockport's had a much better day as Zoe foresaw. Wigan ceded lowest Pop score back to Bolton with a bad day in WN today.

Salford rising and over 200 but will adjust up by 100 or more on Thursday when the population change from last Thursday is removed from the 7 days covered by the weekly Pop.

Back on a level playing field versus the rest -

EVEN IF THEY SCORE NIL TOMORROW SALFORD WILL STILL BE TOP AS THE MINIMUM POP SCORE SALFORD CAN HAVE TOMORROW IS 338 AND IT WILL ACTUALLY BE MORE.

Stockport up by 41 today now 10, 679 - another better day than Trafford - up 53 - taking it onto 10, 790.

So Stockport's lead for the best overall Pop Score across the pandemic jumped up by 12 more in one day -making Trafford now 111 behind Stockport for best overall Pop Score.

This nip and tuck for best Pop Score in GM has been going on since day 1 of the pandemic between these two closely matched boroughs.

Rochdale up 41 - to 13, 651.

But Bolton again had the lowest rise in GM with its Pop Score up by just 27 - taking it up to 13, 542.

Bury up 37 today - up to 12, 972. Will almost certainly make the 13 K club tomorrow,

Manchester up 50 same to 14, 051
.
Oldham outdid it up 52 and also onto 14, 069 extending its lead on Manchester as highest Pop in GM to 18.

Salford is up 52 to 13, 567 .

Tameside also up 52 today onto 11, 801

All three Oldham Salford and Tameside had the highest Pop Score of 52 today.

And Wigan up 38 onto 13, 095.
