I am off work for different reasons but the whole of the manual work force side is now off as one tested positive so others having to self isolate.
We had done well as no one had been positive before.
I did suggest splitting the work force into two teams so that we always had one team available, management said no. So now they have no workforce for 10 days !

Smart idea that I'll suggest it to my boss. I think he already feels terrible cos I caught it. I'm in London so I think I just got it on the tube.

The incidence of blood clots from AZ vaccinations has all but disappeared since they stopped giving them to under 40s. A noticeable down turn since the start of June was found by a new study today. And no cases at all in the past month.

the under 40's thing could be a correlation but not a causation. a few things all sort of happened at the same time.

apparently all ( maybe just the vast majority of? ) the issues with AZ vaccines happened on 1st dose, and due to the nature of swapping from concentrating on 1st dose to concentrating on 2nd dose when Delta hit its an inherent drop in side effects.

THIS IS NOT ONE DAY OR TWO DAYS DATA BUT COLLATED OVER 27 HOURS UP TO THE MIDDLE OF YESTERDAY WHEN THE SYSTEM BLEW A FUSE LEADING TO NOTHING REPORTED YESTERDAY.

HOWEVER SOME SEEM TO BE REPORING THIS AS THE TWO DAYS OF DATA. I ASSUME BASED ON REPORTING CUT OFF POINTS NORMALLY USED. THOUGH THAT IS NOT WHAT THE WALES DATA PUBLISHED SAYS. SO I THINK THERE MIGHT BE MISSING CASES STILL TO COME.

0 deaths - was 3 last week

1030 cases - was 681 cases last week (for 24 not 27 - or 48 - hours - whichever todays is!)

5.8% positivity - was 4.7% last week. So clearly rising regardless of if any data is / is not missing,

143 patients - was 138 last week

20 ventilated - was 22 last week
