Furlough I presume so people dont actually go to work, plus school closures
I think furlough is in place till April anyway mate. And the schools were open in the second lockdown too. I just go to work and go home so wouldn’t know tier 3 from 4 from lockdown.

keep your money in your pocket . I can only go of my experience of buying a sandwich & drink of them and I didn’t see anyone go in the pub .
Depends which pub, my Mrs walked around Brabyns the other week and got a hot drink and sandwich from one pub outside, this was the other one and I’m certain they walked in the front door.

Schools will once again drive the new variant around and this is before people have even gotten over the Christmas/New Year period. The government need to initiate a strong lockdown to get people off the streets and focus on rolling the vaccines out correctly.

You just changed the question. Sweden's approach was disastrous even for a a country with low population density.
Ask the questions:
Which organisations put the pandemic plan in place that didn't survive first contact with the enemy because it was useless?
Which organisations swore blind that masks didnt help till it was proven to them that they did?
Which organisations are command-and-control type with zero digression at a local level?
Which organisations are generally shit at everything they do.
Report back.

No, the question was whether a different crew could make a difference.

I've given you an example showing that.

Obviously I can't do that for the uk!

The rest of your post is gibberish to me I'm afraid.

The government have needed to initiate a strong lockdown for about a month now. I suspect this new variant is unstoppable now because of the dither and delay. The two words that best sum up the mess Britain has made of this. You get behind a virus like this you lose.

What would be the difference between lockdown and tier 4.?
Shops only selling food and medicine
Schools colleges and universities to close
No bubbles for people living alone
No outdoor leisure group settings (my Nephew’s football training is still going ahead, he’s not going though)
No indoor leisure 1-1 settings (my Niece is still able to do 1-1 swimming lessons, she’s not going though)
Only one exercise session outdoors per day
No weddings
No funerals
Police presence on the streets
... and probably more

Full lockdown from the Summer would be about Tier 6 or 7 on the current tiering system.

Depends which pub, my Mrs walked around Brabyns the other week and got a hot drink and sandwich from one pub outside, this was the other one and I’m certain they walked in the front door.
I thought we are talking about Norfolk Arms . No idea about any other pubs being open in Marple Bridge

Obviously it's all about opinions but mine is we have gotten off to a great start and from Monday things will really accelerate. From a standing start we have given 1 million people at least one dose of the difficult to roll out Pfizer vaccine in less than a month. We now have the Oxford vaccine that can be delivered more or less anywhere. Community nurses can take it to people's houses in cool bags if needed as well as it being delivered in GP surgeries, pharmacies and mass vaccination sites like the tennis centre next to the stadium.

The UK is already ahead of a similar nations in terms of vaccinations carried out and now with an easy to deliver UK produced vaccine we can motor on.

It isnt about that for me. It's about us fucking with the dosing routines, against Pfizer's advice, rushing to try and vaccinate a whole country while a new strain is absolutely rife everywhere with very little in place to try and stop it. I get a very horrible sinking feeling we're going to create the perfect conditions for a vaccine escaping variant, and that feeling is based on countless reputable experts warning the same. Fucking hell I hope they're wrong.
