Why now though? Why didn't the 0-12 age range all catch Covid last year? They all went to school and were not vaccinated.

I think what happens in schools often represents whats happening in the community in general. So at a time with more restrictions, less schoolchildren were catching it as it was a bit more contained, now with much less restrictions it'll be spread further and schools will be an example of that.

There were 7 Covid deaths in the month of August of Stockport residents.

The last was 1 on 20 August. Up to yesterday. Latest data.

In the month of January there were 108.

As you say cases look scary. But once you look at the numbers like this perspective changes swiftly,
People would do well to remember this
 
What is the Covid death rate in Israel - does anyone know? The cases are just a number. But the percentage who die and/or go into hospital is what from now on matters as to how we react.

As they only used Pfizer it would be interesting to see how it compares with the UK numbers where two vaccines were used fairly equally.
