On the facts, our death rate is currently above any comparable country in Europe, and about double the EU average.

Depending how you've counted European countries, the 8 above us are mainly the low vax rates of the likes of Romania and Bulgaria, or small population places like Bosnia. Here's recent death rates for a x section of European countries.

Why you think any of this is relevant to how well we're currently responding is mysterious. Are you suggesting Romania, Bulgaria and Bosnia is where we should set our bar.

This proves without doubt how amazing the vaccines are, how cases don't really matter and how anti-vaxxers are absolute fucktards. They are the ones making life difficult for the NHS and hence other people who need non-Covid treatment.
