Wales is just announcing that a form of 'covid pass' showing you are vaccinated or testing negative will be needed to access large public events and clubs from 11 October.

Nightclubs, indoor non seated events such as conventions and concerts and all sports events like football wirth over 10,000 supporters.

And the implementation of the law to enforce facemasks in designated indoor spaces and on public transport will be strengthened.

But there will be no blanket covid passport as they deem that unethical for those who cannot have the vaccine. Hence allowing a negative test as proof as well as double vaccine proof.

ENGLAND HOSPITAL DATA

92 with 12 North West - was 118 with 12 last Friday & 77 with 3 NW the week bedfore.

Another week to week drop - although a few caveats.

TWO of these are around 6 months old so might be discounted.

Also the early numbers for the past few days are high. 14 September after just 3 days is already at 88. This is the most after 3 days since 89 on 9 MAR.

Moreover 9 September became the second day since March to reach 100 deaths on that date,

3 September remains the peak of this wave and is still on 104 two weeks later.

ENGLAND 92 HOSPITAL DEATHS - MORE DETAIL

By Region:-

East 10, London 11, Midlands 20, NE & Yorkshire 28, North West 12, South East 7, South West 4

Most by trust:- 8 in Sunderland, 5 in Birmingham

North West Trusts:- 3 in Manchester, 2 each in Liverpool & Pennine Acute (Oldham/Rochdale) AND 1 each in Bolton, Chester, East Cheshire, Salford & Stockport

By Age:-

0 - 19 (2) 20 - 39 (1) 40 - 59 (6) 60 - 79 (41) 80 PLUS (42)

Sad to see two more under 20 dying today, Though from the very high numbers catching it in this youngest age group a few tragically unlucky ones are always inevitable.

But does show that vaccinating this younger group is not meaningless.

It really does need confirming that these under 20‘s died from and not with. That being said, it’s as well we don’t specifically publish the numbers of children who die from infectious diseases every day/year or the schools would never open..

TODAY'S UPDATE

Predicted cases are surprisigly DOWN after a run of small rises.

Today FROM 47, 293 TO 45, 889 TODAY - a FALL of 1404 - and DOWN from RISES of 16, 283 and 379 over the past 3 days.

It WAS 49, 324 last Friday - a FALL in the week of 3435.

Ongoing symptomatic cases also FALL for eleventh day running.

And again falls by a higher number than yesterday.

FROM 686, 943 TO 680, 992 TODAY - A fall of 5951, after falls of 4129, 4595. 4710, 6108, 9353, 7567 and 6297 in previous days.

You would expect a lag to the change in ongoing cases after a rise or fall in daily case numbers.

ZOE APP DATA

TODAYS DATA

REGIONS:-

North West FALLS TO 724 / 947 FROM 736 / 962 - STILL FIFTH of the 12 regions.

But V last Friday it is as flat as a pancake or in truth down a teeny bit - was then 726 / 953

WALES stay top and rising. Scotland still falling and DOWN to third now.

North East has been shooting up again this week and is now second in UK between Wales and Scotland.

UP on 738 / 1140 FROM 709 / 1107

Yorkshire stay fourth

East Midlands in sixth just below NW the only other in the middle watch zone.

DOWN TO 642 / 890 FROM 651 / 901.

South West (which has been plummeting day by day in the real cases all week - as the regional data each evening on here shows- is still the LOWEST region ahead of London

FALLS FROM 456 / 608 TO 425 / 573

SOUTH WEST HAS FALLEN THE MOST IN THE REAL CASES TOO IN PAST THREE WEEKS FROM 4000 TO 1400 PER DAY. AS THE SUMMER ENDED AND THE TOURISTS WENT HOME I PRESUME

INDEED IT IS NOW IN THE LOWEST WATCH ZONE ALL ON ITS OWN

LONDON also is DOWN on 488 / 636 FROM 502 / 653 but SOUTH EAST has fallen below it too.

West Midlands is DOWN on 503 / 724 FROM 530 / 757, South East DOWN on 491 / 606 FROM 517 / 635 and East DOWN on 495 / 653 FROM 508 / 669.

THE SOUTHERN REGIONS AS IN THE REAL CASE DATA MOSTLY FALLING ON ZOE.

UP TOP:-

WALES UP FROM 810 / 1141 TO 839 / 1173

North East second as noted above

Scotland (3nd) DOWN big on 753 / 1018 FROM 815 / 1090

Yorkshire (4th) is DOWN on 744 / 1009 FROM 764 / 1034

N Ireland also DOWN on 300/ 1040 FROM 337 / 1122

TODAY

GREATER MANCHESTER:-

THE PATTERN REMAINS AND ZOE IS MATCHING REAL DATA - ALMOST EVERYONE FALLING A BIT. SOME BY A LOT SUCH AS BURY & TAMESIDE & BOLTON. AND SOME MORE SLOWLY SUCH AS STOCKPORT. BUT OVERALL GM NUMBERS ARE NOW WELL BELOW WHERE THEY WERE A WEEK AGO. AND NOBODY IS IN BIG TROUBLE

A surprise is to see Manchester still TOP though it is DOWN wellon 11, 212 FROM 13, 124

THIS IS THE LOWEST TOP SCORE IN GM FOR WEEKS

Stockport is now in second place and is also DOWN a bit more hopefully today on 10, 708 FROM 12, 608

THESE ARE NOW THE ONLY TWO OVER 10K IN THE HIGHER WATCH ZONE. MOST OF GM WAS LAST WEEK.

Oldham is third but DOWN big on 9091 FROM 12, 362

Rochdale in fourth and UP on 8642 FROM 6887

Bury is fifth and falling like a brick. DOWN on 8372 FROM 12, 880.

Tameside in sixth place and doing much the same on 6396 FROM 9116

Trafford is JUST in seventh and DOWN on 6389 FROM 8120

Wigan in eighth has been dropping for real too and on Zoe DOWN on 6199 FROM 6535

Salford is another dropping a long way in reak numbers and here on ninth DOWN on 4601 FROM 6552

BUT BEST IN GM IS STIL AND SETTING NEW RECORDSL:-

Bolton DOWN again on 1949 FROM 3529

This is the lowest number in GM I recall seeing In many months. It is hard to get much lower tbh.

REST OF NORTH WEST

BIG NEWS BUT NOT GOOD NEWS

St Helens is now THE worst place in the UK again according to zoe;

Highest I have ever seen it or anywhere tbh - on 39, 879.

Liverpool is still well UP too and easily above all 10 GM boroughs on on 18, 595

Sefton also up on 15, 302

However, Warrington is down slightly on 12, 618

Chorley is FLAT but high on 16, 970

The Wyre coast (Fleetwood) is down a bit on 13, 133

Lake District north DOWN a bit to 19, 751 - with the south lower still

AND

LANCASTER AND MORECAMBE - WHICH HAS ROCKETED FAST UP TO ONE OF THE HIGHEST IN ENGLAND ON 34, 491

ONLY ST HELENS IS HIGHER

Cheshire East - is DOWN slightly in the higher watch zone on 10, 404 and matching Stockport almost exactly once again as is common with these two neighbours.

Still much better than Chester and Cheshire West - DOWN though on 15, 371 FROM 16, 194

SCOTLAND DATA

THERE IS DISPUTE OVER IF THIS IS ONE OR TWO DAYS DATA GIVEN THEY POSTED NONE YESTERDAY.
THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE QUOTED AS SAYING:-

QUOTE:- Since the last update on 15 September (approximately 48 hour period) there have been 5,885 new confirmed positive cases

THAT LOOKS CLEAR ENOUGH TO ME SAYING IT IS THE TWO DAYS DATA - AS IN THAT BEING UNREPORTED YESTERDAY PLUS TODAY. ASIDE FROM THE NUMBER 5885 NOT 5529

IF SO EVEN BETTER THAN IT MAY APPEAR AND IT IS WELL DOWN FROM LAST WEEK ANYWAY WHICH WAS JUST ONE DAY DATA THOUGH I SUPPOSE THERE MAY BE SOME CASES STILL LOST AMIDST THE GLITCH TO COME AS THE CONFUSION IS MOSTLY DURE TO THE DROP OTHERWISE LOOKING SURPRISINGLY LARGE

30 deaths - was 22 last week - THESE ARE NOW BRINGING THE SAD LEGACY OF THE WEEKS OF HIGH CASES

5529 cases - was 6815 last week

9,9% positivity - was 11.1% last week - Which shows the high test numbers being counted up.

1037 patients - down 17 on yesterday - was 977 last week

87 ventilated icu - dowm 7 from yesterday - was 82 last week

WHATEVER THE CASES ARE THE HOSPITAL DATA IS CLEARLY NOW GOING THE RIGHT WAY AND THAT IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT AS IT WAS SHOOTING UP AND UP IN PAST WEEK OR TWO.

REASONS FOR OPTOMISM NOW
