ENGLAND HOSPITAL DEATHS OVER THE WEEKEND

Hard to call what these mean but lots of recent deaths in NW as you can see.

There were a handful of old catch up deaths too.


SAT: 88 with 18 North West - Was 91 with 10 NW last week & 85 with 24 NW the week before

SUN: 21 with 12 North West - Was 16 with 5 NW last week & 12 with 2 NW the week before

TODAY: 25 with 2 North West - Was 11 with 0 NW last week & 12 with 2 NW the week before


SO WEEKEND TOTAL IS 134 WITH 32 NW

LAST WEEK WAS 118 WITH 15 NW

WEEK BEFORE 109 WITH 28 NW

The Five day totals after this weekend show another BIG rise week to week:

Here are the first four days of the new week at 5 days VERSUS the previous two weeks with the total they ended up on for the full week and where that total is now after add ons since

TWO WEEKS AGO 55 - 51 - 55 - 50 FINAL TOTAL 380 - NOW 435

LAST WEEK 54 - 65 - 59 - 59 FINAL TOTAL 447 - NOW 491

THIS WEEK 74 - 68 - 79 - 85


As you can see it is way up already on these four days from last week by 69 so far.
 
38 all settings deaths - was 45 last week but that included Wales. And today does not

36,567 cases - but no Wales cases either which last week for TWO days over the weekend were 6398 cases and 20 deaths and which with 3 days worth of data from here now coming tomorrow will certainly bust these numbers!

For what is worth cases are down 3395 today from 39, 962

And down 12, 589 from 49, 156 last week.

But LOTS of those missing numbers are in the data black hole of Wales.

England cases today are actually UP - though by just 88 on 33, 309 from 33, 221 yesterday.

And was last Monday 39, 473 - UP 930 on the day before

This is a FALL week to week in England of 6164

There were actually 80K MORE pillar 1 & 2 tests today than yesterday but 206K LESS than last week

If the last two days are the shape of things to come that has already started in England which given the size are the numbers that matter most.

Perhaps pretty much every child has now had a jab or caught the virus in the past 3 months.

Always risky to judge England data on Sunday/Monday numbers as they tend to fall at weekend and rise in the week but the week to weeks for two days running now look suggestive of something more real.

The UK numbers will shoot up tomorrow assuming Wales finally finds the missing potentially 9000 cases in the data black hole.

That will not be the story though even if the media sell it as a big jump up.

The week to week England numbers are key right now,
 
GREATER MANCHESTER AND NORTH WEST SUMMARY


NORTH WEST UP today by 101 to 3879.

Greater Manchester UP by 146 to 1348.

Obviously not good rising by more than the entire regon does.

BUT small numbers = modest impact

Week to week is always more important as day to day cases fluctuate and they can go up and down according to the flow of tests from labs.

AND

NORTH WEST DOWN today v last week by 648.

Greater Manchester is DOWN 310 from 1658

This is a little over the par of around 240 which is good news with a fall.

So an OK day in both region and county it would seem.

Every GM borough under 200 again.

Wigan and Trafford down a lot week to week (70s and 80s).Even Stockport down 36.

Manchester top scores on 198 but down 46 week to week.

Only Bury is not down week to week and they are up by just 7.

SOUTH WEST 558 - 577 over weekend AND up 57 week to week - rise was 80 last week

NORTH WEST IS NOT THE HIGHEST AND NOT SHOOTING UP BUT RISING STEADILY NOW.
